Sneeeeeeeky Susie...
Last week, a couple of days after my birthday, we put Evie to bed...twice. After the third time, I went into our room to get something. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a box sitting in the closet. After a second glance, I realized it was MY BIRTHDAY CAKE!!! She had snuck downstairs without us hearing her and somehow crawled on the counter, got a fork out of the drawer, and tiptoed back upstairs for a little sneeky snack!!

About an hour ago, I put her down for a nap, which is hit or miss these days. She sleeps in our room for a nap, so she doesn't wake Beckett up. I heard her walking around up there for baout 30 minutes and finally decided to check on her to see what she was up to. When I opened the door, I saw what EVERY MOM DREADS---a 2-year-old sitting in the middle of our bed with an EMPTY lipstick tube in her hands!!!!
She was obviously upset that I made her sit down while I cleaned. I know you are thinking it would have been a good time to teach her responsibility and make her clean it up, but I think it would have been a much BIGGER mess after she got done cleaning!
She hit pretty much every wall in the room. I had to pull myself together not to scream and laugh at the same time!!!! I made her sit in the bathroom while I ran downstairs to grab the camera.
Notice the beautiful lipstick painting on the closet doors, the matress--THANK GOODNESS it is sheet washing day and she didn't get anything that you can see!
The blinds needed a little color, too. You can't see it here, but she ran the tube along the entire top of the headboard...there were clumps here!
OHHHHH---motherhood and all the glorious moments that tagalong!
So...I literally hit post on this when Evie walked up behind me saying, "I can't seep rewy well"...I said ok and was just going to let her stay up and play...after all, it had been 2 hours of mischief!

When I first looked, I thought she had painted her toes and fingers with lipstick---but why would a REALLY smart toddler do that? She must have snuck in my bathroom and rummaged through my makeup back and found FINGERNAIL polish--PINK polish...sticking with the pink theme for the day!!!

I didn't even realize it was polish until I had put her in the sink and started washing her toes with Dawn!!! NOTHING was coming off and the lightbulb went off!

But she is pretty darn cute, huh?

Oh my goodness! She and Makayla would be great friends. Mak never really painted anything other than herself with lipstick, thankfully.
