OCTOBER 2, 2007
Countdown to the birthday...

Can't believe we are 19 days away from our little girl's 1st birthday! How this year has flown by! Its sometimes hard to imagine what my life was like before she was alive. She has reached so many milstones. Last week at my OB appointment, she crawled up into a little kid chair and kept wanting to get down and get right back in it...she needed a little mommy assistance, but knew she had to put her foot on the bar and pull up.

She blew a kiss today for the first time. Our wonderful neighbor Hillary was blowing her kisses and she put her hand over her mouth 3 or 4 times and blew a kiss! She is really soaking it all in. We let her walk down the road yesterday because the wheather was so nice...breezy and just cool enough to feel like fall!

She had a tough month in September with her first real cold and I think we know now why she was so fussy-she is getting more teeth. The first 8 came in without a hitch, but now you can feel the canine cuspids (AKA eye teeth) and 2 nights ago, she was laughing with her mouth open and I saw the pearly whites of the first molars!!! WHAT! This girl is way ahead of the teeth train!

She has been more of a picky eater this month, but still loves cookies, YoBaby, waffles, and cheese. We are still trying other types of baby foods, but she just takes a couple of bites, then just turns her head when you try to give her more!

We started her on WHOLE milk last week. I have been giving her a little more with each bottle, hoping to wean her from that expensive formula before her first birthday! Thank God I breastfed for 8 months!! Saved a lot of cash!

Things she is loving to do:
-Climb the stairs at our house...then smile at you when you find her
-Open cabinet doors and break things (she pulled out the girl pilgrim salt shaker and broke her yesterday!)
-Say "Uh" still working on the "oh" part after she drops something
-BE held...and she has started hiding her head in my shoulder when a stranger approaches her
-Carry things around in bulk...she picks 3 or 4 things up at a time
-Play with Maggie-except Maggie can get a little rough and we are working on which toys belong to who
-Kiss mommy's belly! The cutest thing! She now lifts up my shirt to point to my belly button
-Play that silly piano Mia bought at a garage sale! She plays a song and dances up and down!
-Show us her tongue...see pictures below!
Close up! Here we are before the UCF-Memphis game in Orlando!!! She was decked out in a little onsie Aunt Meri-Ann made for her!
She even had her name on the back!
Zach and I enjoying watching the Knights win! We love our season tickets!
oh sad face! She had put this over her head earlier in the day and couldn't get it off!! Doesn't that face just look pitiful?!!?

I am almost 22 weeks pregnant and feeling great! My tummy is growing, but I don't have ONE symptom---Only 4 more months till we are a family of 4---my official due date is February 7th!
