Some of my favorite things in life include finding great deals and wonderful treasures to make my own…thrift stores and garage sales can get you some awesome finds, but Craigslist is another super place to hunt!!
Here are a few of our most recent additions to the house:
1: Old wood highchair-$20 on craigslist (actually, I paid $30 for the girl to hold it for me…had to outbid someone else on this one! but it was worth it!!!)
planning on painting it, and our other 2 high chairs a fun color to match the dining room decor-PROJECT AHEAD!
2: Solid wood bookcase-$30 on craigslist
we needed a lot more storage in our house, I’m going to find some cute baskets for it, but its more beautiful in person than I originally thought in the pic on CL! I was going to also paint and distress this piece, but I may leave it and get some colorful storage bins.
3: LUV mini crib: $15 at a garage sale!!!!!
this was my amazing find! I’ve been looking at several on craigslist for a few months ranging anywhere from $75-$150 used! This was totally worth the wait, mattress included. Now we just have to find some cute bedding to match the current decor!
4: Twin mattress: $20 on CL
Beckett has been sleeping on his crib mattress on the bottom bunk, and we didn’t want to fork out a huge amount of cash for a mattress—they are NOT CHEAP! so we found this one from a nice young grad who had it on an unused bed (although, I did Febreeze it and put a this waterproof mattress pad on it :) he’s now officially a big boy!
Even though that’s his “bed”, Evie has started sleeping on it with him—they love sleeping together (after the first 5 minutes of sibling rivalry as far as who is touching who, etc!)
finally…did you catch the letter hanging from the crib?
Our sweet baby girl (at 24 weeks) finally has a name…will post later this week her name and the story behind it!!
happy guessing!
