From our front porch looking in...

We just got back from a little vacation in Boca Grande with Paw Paw, Yaya, Aunt Whit Whit, Craig, Wendy, Missy, Andrew, Sid, Annie, and Grandma. Lots of fun, but also sleeplessness with our little rountine rooster who woke up EVERY night and slept in the pack and play in our room!!! Call it what you want, but vacationing with 2 toddlers takes on a whole new meaning if your name is mommy!

Just some thoughts from the mouths of babes...

• Tonight Evie was in the bathtub and made a bed for the toy lobster with washcloths...she was singing, "Go to sleep, go to sleep..." and I said, "Evie, you're such a good mommy!"...to which she replied, "I not a mommy! I being a Mia!"
• Evie has been obsessed with the Barbie movies about princesses and goes around saying, "I gotta be honest"...a line she derived from the movie
• As we pulled into church today for music camp, she yelled, "We at the FAMILY CHURCH!" (the first time she actually said the name of the church)
• "its just a yittle icy"...talking about the salsa at "welcome to moes"

Beckett's personality is starting to bloom! He is bulking up a bit too...FINALLY! Words he says at 16 months:

• golf cart
• mama
• dada
• papi
• papa
• YEAH!
• cracker
• trash truck
• "goldfish"?
• juice
• baba (bottle)
• Mia
• waffle
• book

He also growls like a lion, and knows the sounds for duck, dog, cow, and bird. He learned to howl at the moon last week and knock knock on the door...even though he knocks with his finger instead of his fist!

Zach and I were talking last week and realizing that last year when we brought Beckett home from the hospital, Evie was his exact age!!!! WHAT?! I can't even IMAGINE bringing home a newborn today! Beckett seems like such a baby still! He is still hanging out in the nursery at church, which only goes up to 15 months old...his nursery director said, "Can he run without falling?, No!, he stays!" :)
