After many months of debating on redoing the kids nursery, I gave in and painted it all when they were out of town for a few days. We finally got Evie's bed in from IKEA (LOVE THAT STORE!!!) and changed the room to a more inviting "unisex" orange instead of the very girly pepto pink it was before.
I still kept a little garden theme and so Beckett lives in the swamp with his leaf canopy and Evie is in the flower garden with her really cute flower wall lamp (both from IKEA---did I mention I LOVE THAT STORE?!)
The wardrobe separtes their "sides" of the room...and they will have to settle for that space for now until we get a bigger house...one day.
When I arrived back from my trip from Texas, I came home to some very needy babies. I thought Beckett was just not feeling well, but Tuesday night, he spiked a fever and continued to run it well into Wednesday evening. I had Hillary look at his ears and they were pretty flaming. We started him on antibiotics that night, and by the next morning, I though the fever was gone.
However, he contined to have fever into Friday (pretty high, up to 104) and we saw Dr. Carter, who is the world's BEST pediatrician, and got a urine sample thinking it was not his ears since they were no longer red, only filled with clear fluid. He slept for about 4 hours when we got home from the pediatrician and woke up looking more like himself.
I talked to his Dr. today and the urine came back normal. So she said it was probably just viral. She also threw in "if he gets a rash, we will know it was Roseola". So, sure enough, tonight I noticed a little rash on his face...started looking him over and his poor little chest and back were covered too!!! So, she was right...Roseola it is! But, he isn't contagious anymore and I am hoping that the rash will subside by tomorrow! Seriously----I mean, seriously...enough with the medical malfuntions for the Sutton fam! :)
Evie was watching her new favorite movie tonight, Horton Hears a Who...which is on loan from Lala. I just couldn't help myself and snapped a few shots of her adorable face watching the movie. I think she looks so grown up all of the sudden in the picture. She has been totally addicted to string cheese lately and it blows my mind how a toddler can thrive on goldfish and pink milk!
One final picture of their room...this is the little kitchen Mia and Papi bought for her at the AWESOME Goodwill in Orlando for $7--I LOVE a good bargin!
