Another update...
It is sunday evening and we are recovering in our room after a long day. I had surgery to removed my gallbladder this morning around 9. I was really groggy and nauseated for a while, but after a couple of hours, I felt better. I have been up for a few walks around the floor and had my fair share of jello and chicken broth!!! YUCK for clear liquid diets! My night nurse did let me have some pudding, which was DELICIOUS!!! Zach tried to get me some Wendy's mashed potatoes and a frosty, but made the mistake of asking our nurse first and she said, "absolutely not" because it might make me sick...which I totally disagree with! I mean, they do this surgery outpatient, and I am over 12 hours post op with no complications! Seriously, I hate this being a patient thing sometimes!! :)
So, the plan is for us to see the GI doctor and surgeon tomorrow morning. If everything is looking good, I get to go home, I think. The only thing is that my spleen is enlarged and that was a little concerning to theh ER doctor yesterday. The surgeon also made reference to that being a possiblity of further testing. The GI doctor didn't seem too concerned...so that ball is being tossed around. Will keep everyone posted through the blog.
Love you guys!!!!
