MY BABY is 2!
She was sooo excited when she woke up Saturday morning to see all of the streamers and balloons for her!

Time sure does fly. Seems like only yesterday we were celebrating Evie's 1st birthday. And the day before that, that we met her for the first time! My heart just wants to explode with pride, love, protection and joy each time I look at her sweet little face. I love so much about her---ok, pretty much EVERYTHING. She is such a people person. God has really given her the gift of a great personality that I hope she uses to bless others with.

There is so much about her that sets her apart. She says things every day that melt my heart..."thanks, thanks momma." that one gets me every time! I love how she needs me, and at the same time, I am drained when she only wants ME. I know these times are fleeting, so I try to embrace them, moment by moment.

She got her first haircut yesterday. WHAT?!?! Is she really old enough for this? We acutally only snipped a bit of bangs in the front. The rest of her hair is that toddler scragly mess that takes forever to grow! But, her hair was bothering her when it was down and she constantly pushed it out of her face. She's growing up...

We celebrated her birthday with some good friends and family in Gainesville. Our backyard was turned into a jumping carnival...literally! We had a bounce house, cotton candy, hot dogs, kettle corn, animal crackers, cupcakes, balloons, and ice cream. It was so much fun!!! She wasn't much help opening her presents, but the other kids took up her slack. There's not much you can make a toddler do! Maybe next year she'll be interested in opening up a few, but until then, I will do my motherly duty and open each bag and say thank you for her!

Aunt Whit, Lala, PawPaw, Aunt Meri Ann, Alexander, Mia and Papi all traveled in from out of town to take part in the festivities. Aunt Emily (sorgius) came over before the party and helped us get everything out and in place. We put Whit to work the night before making all sorts of crafts and signs. And of course, Mia made it all happen. SHE ROCKS!!! Always a super party when she is involved! Our friend Bonnie called her Super Mia!
