SEPTEMBER 17, 2008
I must write about my sweet little happy boy. Tonight, Zach went to youth group, which he helps with. He took Evie with him so she could have some play time with other kids in the nursery...she loves it there!!! So, I got to have some special one-on-one time with Beckett. Let me just say that he is my HAPPINESS! I cannot imagine loving any other baby boy as much as I love him. He makes me melt with every little smile and giggle, which happens often! I love it when he sticks his little tongue out (again, which is often!). Oh, and the way he smells. I was thinking the other day how very different Evie and Beckett smell. That may sound weird, and maybe I am the only one who notices it. I could totally tell the difference by just smelling the two of them....ok, weird tangent!
I could just kiss every inch of his little body forever! Tonight, I was holding him naked outside and was thinking how soft and little his little hiney was!!!! Funny thing about him that makes him unique--when he gets tired, he ALWAYS:
1. Rubs his eyes!
2. Flips his binkie horizontially in his mouth!
3. Kicks one of his legs restlessly.
4. Makes a fist in and out with hands.
He goes to sleep SOOOO easily. Evie used to scream like someone was hurting her and she could yell for quite a while. Beckett rarely cries. Even when he is tired, he is totally content just being held. Although, I wish he wanted to be rocked more so I could soak in those sleepy moments. Evie LOVED to be rocked and would sleep as long as you held her. Seriously, she would let you rock her ALL night! I remember sleeping a few nights in the glider with her bundled up with me and the boppy. But Beckett would just rather be laid down. He may whimper for 10 seconds, but usually only if he sees you leave.
He pulled up in the bathtub tonight with only a spot from mommy. He is really loving the Jumparoo and standing up. Today he ate almost an entire container of bananas at one sitting...the most ever! I love experiencing all of these milestones. I try to pay close attention to things Beckett does because we were soooo into everything Evie did.
Gosh, I just love being a mommy and wife to the most INCREDIBLE man in the world! I am blessed beyond my wildest dreams! I get to wake up each morning to a beautiful family who loves me. Thank God for each moment I am able to share with such fantastic people!
