BIG GIRL TIME...
Last night, I went upstairs to put Evie to bed and after I put her in the crib, I was getting something on the floor and looked up...she was already 2 feet over the top of the crib. I just watched her for a moment and the she put out her hand and said, "help, mommy!" I told her no and that she would have to get out herself. She goes, "OKAY", but wouldn't let go to let herself drop. I told Zach and Mia to come up and then she crawled back in. A few seconds later, as we stood watching, she threw her legs back over. That was when I told Zach to just take off the foot board (its a lifetime crib) and we were going to get a rail from Target so she wouldn't fall off the bed.
So, Zach and I made the short trip to Target at 9:45, got the rail, got home and put it up only to realize they can't go on toddler beds...only twin beds and full size beds! WHAT?!?! So, we put the big lamb and Beckett's mattress on the floor beside her bed to pad in case she fell out.
I had to lay with her for about 15 mintues. We put a gate up in her doorway so she could open and close her door, but can't really get out of her room. I laid her in her bed and tucked her in...and she stayed. She was soooo excited about her big girl bed. She did wake up crying once and went right back to sleep. Then, at 8:30, she came to the gate..."Mommy, mommy..."
As soon as I got her up, she told me she needed to go potty, and sure tried to go, but nothing came out. (sorry to be discussing her business...but this is a big deal around here!) She did use the potty three times yesterday. Then we went out to Cracker Barrel for breakfast this morning and she pooped on the potty for the first time in public!!!!!
What a big girl we have on our hands! Now, if we could just get Beckett to sleep through the night!!!!!!
