Soooooo....its been quite a while since I have updated this little blog. Life around the Sutton house has been a little chaotic for the past couple of months. I will attempt to fill you in on the journey we have taken!
I got admitted to the hospital on June 13th after 6 weeks of anxiety, fast heartrate, shortness of breath, and other symptoms. I was diagnosed with postpartum thyroiditis. I am now being followed by my primary doctor and an endocrinologist. I was started on some medication to help with the anxiety...which is one of the number one symptoms of this. There were some very tough days and nights. Zach has been amazing and my parents and even Nana came up to help with things.
God has been so faithful through it all. This has been a time where he has drawn me closer to him and that is the point of our lives, right? Zach and I went through a Love and Respect (from the book Love and Respect by Emerson Eggerichs) this past month and that was amazing.
Evie is starting to say things that I didn't even know she could say. Like last night I was coming down the stairs with her and I asked if she wanted me to carry her...she said, "mommy, I walk." Who knew she could say walk. Her new phrases are:
"We're home...and daddy's home"--she says it when we pull into our neighborhood
"Detdet" (aka Beckett)
And she loves watching the trash truck...she is taking after her Uncle Jeremy's young love of the trash truck
She attempted Aunt Meri-Ann's name while we were on vacation in Panama City...it came out "Meow...'
She is still a little entertainer...oh yeah, she also says, "Hi, Bob" with perfect clarity to one of our friends. She learned to say Bob from the veggietales.
I am officially staying at home with the kids and am loving it...its only day 2, but it feels great just watching them and being with them and not feeling stressed about having to get the laundry done and sweep and mop and get the groceries all before I have to get back to work...
Thanks for Mia for being our nanny for a year and a half...she is still going to come up, along with Lala to watch the babies while I work one day a week or so.
Beckett turned 5 months yesterday and he is still a sweet little smiling, content baby. He was about 15 pounds at his last doctor's appoinment, so I am sure that he is well on his way to 17 or so---we started supplementing with formula a few weeks ago. he is eating so much!
He is just about out of size 2 diapers and loves to be entertained by his sister. Isn't much of a napper. He doesn't like to be rocked either, when he is tired, he does best when we just lay hime down. But he is a pacifer baby--just like his sister.
pictures to follow soon...thanks for all of your prayers lately!!

Kristy I am so sorry about your hospital visit and no wonder you are so busy! It was good to see your page though and Becketts little legs are so chunky!
