HAPPY MOTHER's DAY 2008

So I can't believe that I am celebrating my second year as a mommy! Where did all of these moments go? I find myself wondering if I caught enough of them on film to remember every detail of their lives...Zach and I were watching some footage of Evie when she was just a few months old and I found it hard to remember that she was ever THAT small! Even with Beckett, I have all but forgotten the feeling of my large, round belly and seeing him punch and kick from within...

Being a mom is one of the most pure and beautiful gifts I have ever been given. Sometimes when I am holding one of them, I pray for the moment to last forever...I never want to forget the way their soft skin feels under my hand, or the weight of their head resting on my shoulder. So many feelings are too great for words. I am so glad that God had given me the gift of motherhood and that I can experience these emotions that come with being a mommy...

She is so full of life--really living up to the meaning of her name!
Summer has begun in Gainesville! We broke out the pool and even made our own backyard water park with the slide from her swingset! She was tickled to being playing in the water!
Zach and Evie surprised me with breakfast in bed...an omlete, toast and OJ...YUM! And a beautiful picture of the kids was slide inside the newspaper! Zach took both of them by himself last week to the Picture People at the mall and had their picture made for me! What an amazing husband! They were both dressed so cute...I was impressed! Then after lunch at home, I was off to the mall for a little pampering! I got a manicure, pedicure and big chocolate shake! Such fun! Then we all piled up on the cough for an afternoon of watching the Barnyard movie--Evie's new favorite--thanks to Papi! Of course, it wasn't complete without our HUGE box of Goldfish!
So, I thought that this morning's picture of the kids was my gift...which I was totally happy with, but when I walked in from the mall, these pictures were hanging on the wall!!!! Yes, they are POSTER SIZE photos of the kids! I was actually speechless and a little teary-eyed! Zach had them printed and they are gorgeous!!!!

I bought the kids matching PJs---their first matching outfits!!! Love my binky babies!
Thank you for making me a mommy...does it get any better than this?!
