Today Evie and I had lunch with Aunt Meri-Ann and Mia at a restaurant in Haile Plantation. It was very yummy and we even went shopping at Sophie Bee's afterward (surprise---we went shopping!!!) Then we went to the mall and I decided while at the jewelry kiosk that it would be awesome to get her ears pierced. I thought she might be too young, but the lady said they can do it at 2 weeks...and Evie is almost 8. So, I got all excited and picked out an adorable pair of earrings and we signed the paper. The lady who did it has been doing it for 22 years, so I felt pretty comfortable. Mia was all nervous and even cried when it happened. I held her in my lap and she did SCREAM---but only for like 10 seconds and then she was great!
We didn't tell Zach and let him see for himself when we got home...he said "Oh Lord" when he saw them and later said that he felt like they made her all grown up. I just assumed that I would get them done as a baby and he thought that was a decision she should make on her own when she is old enough. Guess I should have asked him first. He said that he felt like she wasn't a "pure little baby" anymore. Amazing he could feel so strongly about that...but that is a daddy for you.
She looks beautiful and I will get some pictures up as soon as Aunt Meri-Ann gets them to me!
